Happy Diamond Jubilee, Queen Elizabeth II
As Britain’s Queen Elizabeth prepares to celebrate her Diamond Jubilee, it would appear she’s picked up a few celebrity fans during her 60 years on the throne.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are reportedly planning on embracing their new British lifestyle in Richmond, South-West London, by attending a street party with their neighbours in honour of the occasion.
Elsewhere, Take That singer Gary Barlow will spent the day at the Jubilee Concert he has organised at Buckingham Palace with performances from the likes of Ed Sheeran and Jessie J, and a set from Cheryl Cole also rumoured to be on the cards.
British comedian Russell Brand is devastated to be missing out on the celebrations in his home nation as he prepares to host the MTV Movie Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday (June 3).
“Her majesty’s jubilee... I’m devastated to miss it,” he told Starlounge. “But we’ll be honoring the queen in our own special and respectful way. I love her. I love her majesty. I’ve never been more in love with her majesty the queen of England than since I’ve come to be in America a lot.”
Meanwhile, Black Eyed Peas frontman will.i.am thinks the 86-year-old monarch is “dope” and admitted she even reminds him of his mother.
“I love the queen. She's super dope. She reminds me of my mum," he said in a recent interview. "I mean, my mum and no money and the queen is obviously loaded, but just their strength and perseverance."
