Lady Gaga is sporting a painful-looking black eye after being hit over the head with a dancer’s pole while performing in New Zealand.

The 25-year-old singer admitted she is still feeling a “bit woozy” following the accident as she posted a picture of her with a massive black eye on her Twitter page.

After arriving in Australia following the incident, she said: “Thank you so much for all the thoughtful messages. I feel a bit woozy but a little better everyday. Very happy to be in beautiful Australia.”

However, the ‘Born This Way’ hitmaker joked that she was unsure about whether to set foot outside her hotel due to the huge black eye she was sporting.

Posting a picture of the ailment, she said: “Emerging from hours of sleep. Still remiss if I should go outside, with this clonker I may be of questionable styling.”

The pop superstar was performing a two-hour set on stage in Auckland, New Zealand, when she was accidentally hit over the head with a dancer’s pole and despite suffering the injury, she went on to finish the show.

“I want to apologise. I did hit my head and I think I may have a concussion but don't you worry I will finish this show,” she told the audience.

Tara Savelo, the star’s make-up artist, added on Twitter after the performance: “Gaga has a concussion but she is going to be okay. She wants u to know she loves u. I'm taking care of her.cant believe she finished the show.”
