Princess Felipa of Bavaria marries
Princess Felipa of Bavaria has tied the knot with film producer Christian Dienst.
The 31-year-old royal, who is the daughter of Prince Leopold and Princess Ursula, got married to her long-term love in a ceremony at Wies Church in Steingaden, Germany, on Saturday (May 12).
With some 500 guests, mostly made up of royals and aristocrats from Germany and Europe, in attendance at the nuptials, the wedding party later moved on the celebrations to a nearby restaurant.
Princess Felipa looked stunning in a glittering tiara and satin and lace ivory gown that resembled the Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen dress Britain’s Kate Middleton, 30, wore on her wedding day to Prince William, 29, in April 2011.
Meanwhile, Princess Ursula opted for an eye-catching pink outfit and matching fascinator as she toasted her daughter’s marriage.
The ancestors of the Bavarian royal family, also known as the House of Wittelsbach, ruled the German state from 1180 to 1918 and provided two Holy Roman Emperors.
